SULLIVAN COUNTY, NEW YORK- The O&W Rail Trail Alliance, Sullivan Public Library Alliance (SUPLA), and Sullivan County’s Division of Planning are proud to announce that the Tracks and Trails Daypack Program has officially been distributed to all of the following locations listed below. Funding for this project was made possible in part by a Community Development Grant from Sullivan 180.

Daypacks are filled with items such as a first-aid kit, binoculars, sunscreen, bug repellent wipes, a hiking journal, flashlight, and rain ponchos. Additionally, each daypack has flyers and brochures, a Sullivan O&W Rail Trail Map, a list of trail use guidelines, a recommended clothing guide, and some fun activities for kids provided by the National Park Service. Each daypack is intended to provide trail and outdoor recreation users with essential items to promote and ensure safety while exploring the outdoors, while also providing recreational items for individuals and families to enjoy when loaning a daypack.
To loan a daypack from a library, you may be required to have a library card and a refundable cash deposit ranging between $10-$30. School locations will loan daypacks exclusively to their respective students and faculty.
